Feelings...oh, oh, oh feelings.

Think back on the last time you experienced the feeling and/or sensation of love, compassion, hope, courage, anything good or any of the fruit of the Spirit...and don't just read on without really remembering that moment and experience. Come on...bask in it a bit.

What if those feelings are God, the life of Christ, the mystery of the gospel mentioned in Colossians 1:27? What if the feeling of love or anything good is God? Jesus said, "only God is good Mark 10:18" so might it follow, all good feelings are God?

Where do feelings come from? Outside of you or within you? If you're like me, your first inclinaton is to credit something or someone outside of you with creating feelings within you...be it a person, movie, book, song, life circumstance, etc...but don't those feelings come from deep within you as a response to the external person, experience or thing. What if it (God) is always responding to the world in such a way but most of the time we don't tap into it...we don't let our guard down and feel.

So think about it.

How would identifying our good feelings as God change our understanding and/or concept of God?

What if we could experience those good feelings (God) every moment of our life by opening ourselves up to good feelings?

Where would we look for God if we identified our good feelings as God?

Does identifying God as those good feelings make you desire to know God more or less?
