That's pretty compelling
The love of God compels us. Of all that motivates our attitudes and actions there is only one true motivation that brings peace, rest and joy despite the circumstances. The schtick being so captivated by His love that it motivates/compels our every thought, attitude, action or moment.so...
(insert your name) & Rick...
God is patient with you even when your every thought is selfish.
Jesus treats you with kindness despite your treating others poorly.
God isn't trying to take credit for your success...however you define it.
Jesus isn't thinking about Himself...His every moment is spent thinking about you and loving you into the abundant life.
God won't barge in and make you do anything, have a particular attitude or love Him. He wants you to choose Him...and He desire your choice be motivted by His love for you.
Jesus is always thinking, captivated, desiring you. That where His thoughts are right now...wanting Jerry and Rick to understand how wide, high, deep and long is the His love.
God's anger is directed at sin, because sin hurts people (and He loves them)...and even in that He is slow to anger.
God's put our sins behind His back never to be seen again. He's cast them as far as the east is from the west. He chooses to have no record of our disobedience...nothing to bring up from the past. He wants to deal with us in the present...this moment.
Jesus finds great joy when we choose to walk in the freedom He provides. He is ecstatic when a husband and wife choose to walk the spiritual journey of life together.
God is always trusting us...he never feels causcious about putting Himself out-there again. He's always hoping for the best, persevering through all of our stupidity. God is always protecting us.
that's pretty compelling...
